Industry
Mountain Safety
Mountain based projects present various challenges for industry and field technicians year round. Keeping workers safe in the mountains can be difficult and depends greatly on the topography and season. There may be obstacles such as cliffs, rockfall, ice, crevasses, winter temperatures or remote locations. Alpine Safety Consultants provides services to enable workers to safely operate in the mountains. Our services include but are not limited to instruction and guiding for mountain and glacier travel, winter survival, weather monitoring, first aid, designing rescue systems, emergency response plans, high angle work and fall protection.
Industry
Rope Access Work
Rope access enables workers to reach areas which conventionally would require substantial effort and resources to access. Ropes, associated equipment and specific techniques are used to increase the safety and speed at which workers can access these difficult to reach locations. Being able to ascend, descend and traverse areas easily allows workers to move around challenging areas with minimal impact on the surrounding environment. Rope access techniques are often applied in areas with cliff faces, work sites above water, or in confined spaces. Alpine Safety Consultants specializes in rope access work with team members certified by SPRAT.
